THE CLASS

01. WHAT IS MINDFULNESS, ANYWAY?
In this class we explore the power of mindfulness, stemming from the Buddhist tradition, and explore the scientific and subjective benefits that have made this technique of meditation the go-to practice for CEOs and your favorite athletes alike.
02. WORKING WITH STRONG EMOTIONS
So you’ve tried everything else in dealing with stress, anxiety and fear...you might as well try meditation, right? In this session we look directly at some of the emotions that hook us and take over our day and instead learn techniques for how to get unhooked. Instead of getting overwhelmed by our emotional states we can sit with them and learn from them in order to live a more productive and less reactive life.
03. LETTING LOVE FLOW
It’s human nature to want to love and be loved. But what if we let our love flow beyond just romantic and family situations? What if we could make our heart resilient and wide enough to accommodate everyone we encounter? It​’​s definitely something to aspire to. In this class we learn the technique of loving-kindness practice and how it can prevent us from continuously dividing the world up into people we like, dislike or actively ignore.
04. RELAXING INTO THE PRESENT
Coming full cycle, we learn to relax the body and mind into the present moment. When we’re truly here and now we can find contentment in the simplest aspects of our life. Even tasting the morning coffee feels joyful when we have a relaxed mind. To enter into a state of relaxation in this class we pay particular attention to our body, our breath, and our environment.
